How long does it take to install a metal building after I order mine?

You can expect delivery and installation within 2 to 6 weeks. This year due to COVID 19 and circumstances in many states it is between 8 to 18 weeks. Keep in mind delivery and installation changes daily and consider new restrictions.

Are the metal buildings you offer all standard, or am I able to customize one that’s unique to my needs?

The beautiful thing about metal buildings, we think anyway, is that they’re highly customizable! No matter how you want to build your unique metal building, Union Steel Structures can help you create a one-of-a-kind building to best meet your needs! Pick your own size, roof-style, colors, doors, windows, anchors, certifications, gauge sizes, and more! Your metal building should check every box on your list—so don’t settle for standard settings when they just won’t do!

Do I need to obtain a permit to install a metal building on my property?

If you need to obtain a permit and need engineering plans and calculation we can help you obtain them at an additional cost.

What can I do to make sure my property or site is ready for my metal building before installation?

While we handle all of the building and crafting of your customized metal building, all we ask is that you ensure your site is prepared and ready for the installation. How do you go about that? There are several ways! Once you’ve tackled the necessary permits, we suggest selecting your site, finding a level section, either clearing out that site or laying concrete to create a flat surface and ensuring you have plenty of space and a solid foundation for your metal building. Failing to tackle this before your metal building arrives for an installation could delay your install process!

What exactly are gauges—do those also come with several options?

The term gauge refers to the standard thickness of a specific sheet of metal! Standard offerings for metal building – framing gauges are typically between 12-to-14-gauge, and for roofing-sheeting is – 26-&29- gauge. When you measure by gauge, a higher gauge number indicates a smaller size—so, if 14 gauge 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ in diameter, then 12 gauge is 2 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ in diameter

Does Union Steel Structures provide a warranty for metal buildings?

30 day workmanship unless building is certified that means that it is installed as per plans and city/ county permit approval. When upgrading to 12 gauge framing we do offer a 20 year limited warranty on rust through out the steel framing assuming normal care and maintenance.

Are there any financing options available through Union Steel Structures?

Absolutely! Our RTO option is as easy as apply, get approved, make a down payment, and install! Our RTO option allows for flexible, easy-to-afford payments that ensure you’re able to pay off your balance at your pace—even if that pace is ahead of time (you won’t have to deal with any penalties for early payoff!). Does Union Steel Structures require a down payment to purchase a metal building?

Yes. Though we’re proud to offer several financing options—including a rent-to-own option that’s designed to make regular payments simple and convenient—we do require a small deposit for the purchase of your metal building. Typically, we require around a 25 percent deposit as a down payment if you choose our rent-to-own financing option.
